We are lucky with our robotics lab because of the space and technology. A lot of people don’t have the space we have nor the technology. For example the high school coach started out in his garage and barely had any space. Another example is when in the past we had to keep removing our table and field mat due to lack of space and use of shared space in the computer lab. It would take 10-15 min. each time, and we had a very hard time getting started every time. So we are grateful for our resources.
Putting together a lab like this requires a great deal of fund-raising in the community and coordination as well as proving there is interest among students, so we recommend the students advocate for what they want, and speak to their community leaders at the schools.
The Weston GNCE Robotics Team Website shows how the High School team built our robotics lab in the Middle School.
